Something to think about

The 7th month in the Lunar calendar is the Chinese equivalent to Halloween so a lot of Hong Kongers will not go out in the evening because they believe that the gates to Hell is open so the departed are free to roam on Earth. One will find a lot of people burning different articles and incenses for the deceased so that they will have different "luxuries" in Hell. My two rants are:
  1. What if the departed have already reincarinated then the burning would have been wasted.
  2. This act is very environmentally unfriendly. Burning not only increases the carbon dioxide levels in the air we are also burning trees in the process.
